Restoring Connections and Fostering Purpose

We believe that every individual should have the opportunity to recover from a mental illness. NAMI Far North aims to establish the Sand Creek Clubhouse, a day facility designed to restore people, place and purpose to individuals living with mental health conditions through psychosocial rehabilitation. With a projected opening in the fall of 2024, we are seeking support and donations from our community to bring this transformative project to life.

The Clubhouse Model:
A Proven Path to Recovery

The Sand Creek Clubhouse will be modeled after the highly successful Clubhouse International program, which has a network of over 320 clubhouses spanning across 30 countries. This evidence-based approach has proven to be a powerful catalyst for recovery, providing a supportive and restorative environment for those whose lives have been disrupted by mental illness.

A Work-Ordered Day:
Building Meaningful Relationships

At the core of the Clubhouse model lies a structured work-ordered day, where members and staff collaborate side-by-side to carry out the day-to-day operations of the clubhouse. This unique approach fosters a sense of community, purpose, and belonging, allowing members to build meaningful relationships and develop valuable skills.

Restoring Connections

The Sand Creek Clubhouse will serve as a safe and comfortable haven for adults during the day, where members can reconnect with friendships, family, employment, and education opportunities. Through a range of programs and activities, members will receive the individualized support they need to continue their journey towards recovery, while regaining a sense of purpose and self-worth.
