Advocacy and Education for Mental Health and Illness in Bonner and Boundary Counties

Sand Creek Connections

Serving Bonner and Boundary Counties

At NAMI Far North, we believe everyone deserves the chance to recover from mental illness. That’s why we established Sand Creek Connections, a non-clinical day facility dedicated to helping individuals regain their sense of People, Place, and Purpose—often lost due to chronic mental health challenges. Thanks to generous community support, we proudly opened our doors on November 15, 2024.

The Clubhouse Model:
A Proven Path to Recovery

Sand Creek Connections follows the successful Clubhouse International model, which emphasizes a structured Work-Ordered Day. Members work side-by-side with staff to manage daily operations, fostering community and allowing individuals to develop valuable skills while contributing to the clubhouse.

Building Connections: People

We prioritize fostering meaningful relationships within our clubhouse. By connecting with others who share similar experiences, members build friendships and develop a sense of belonging essential for recovery.

A Safe Haven: Place

Our clubhouse is designed to be a safe and comfortable environment. We create an atmosphere of mutual respect and empowerment, ensuring everyone feels welcome and valued.

Finding Meaning: Purpose

Purpose is at the heart of our mission. Through structured activities and collaborative projects, members engage in meaningful work that fosters personal growth and skill development. This helps individuals rediscover their sense of purpose, enhancing overall well-being.
